If you are going to see Drillbit Taylor and expect a raunchy comedy like Superbad of Knocked Up, than look elsewhere. And the toned-down approach to Judd Apatow's films might've worked, but Drillbit Taylor suffers from a poor and cliched plot about a bodyguard hired by kids to protect them from the school bullies. Owen Wilson neutral and not at his best in the titular role. The two nerdy kids were great because you could believe in their roles, and they were genuinely funny. However the fat one was very repetitive with his jokes, and kind of dried out the laughs after a while. The bullies were unbelievable in the fact they stayed unnoticed for that long. There were some funny moments, but not enough to save this movie from being your run-of-the-mill comedy.

I'm a big fan of Owen Wilson. He did a good job pulling off this movie for kids. Personally if I was an actor I would feel a bit uneasy with doing such a project. Thats showbiz. I think kids will appreciate this film where most adults will not like it at all.

Actually pretty funny. Nothing incredibly special but it made me laugh and didn't seem to drag on at any point.

This was a fun-filled movie for anyone looking to have a good chuckle. Owen Wilson is a very funny guy and comes by it honestly, and I thought he was perfect for the role as Drillbit Taylor. However, even though this is classified as a comedy, the real issue here cannot be ignored, kids who are being bullied at school especially in Junior High and High School. This film clearly exemplifies that unfortunate realism, but the hope is that this type of behavior can be resolved through education, and awareness. Also, I found there was no shortage of action throughout this production... it had a good pace, and it held your attention till the very end. The slapstick gags were well executed, and while the three nerdy kids aren't as good as, say Seth and Evan from Superbad, they still do a great job. However, I'd have to say that this isn't really a kids movie, but it is more geared towards adults or teens who are 13 or Older. Overall, Drillbit Taylor is a highly entertaining movie by my standards. Get out and see it now and don't forget to take your sense of humor with you.

Owen Wilson give his typical performance, as he has for a while. The kids are funny though. The plot itself with a funny concept, and it had some witty parts to it. Overall, good for a laugh.

The beginning half was pretty good, then someone took a steamy dump on the last half. I can kind of see why Owen tried to kill himself after this movie.

Walking into this movie I expected something less... [...]. I mean, [...] was going on for most of this movie? It took the guy the whole movie to figure out that the "bully" was 18. [...]. Most of the time he was[...] around with some ugly trick so who cares right? Therefore, I rate this movie 2- Very bad, forget about it: piece of sh! T however I had a movie pass so I can't complain that much. (or it wouldve gotten 1) :) also I hate how your msg can't have "unacceptable" words.
