Sorry but it was boring! Nothing special with this movie!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This was just silly. A really obnoxious husband, and then shacking up with her doctor. Then there's her silly friends. Miss this one.

Great women characters, great pies and Nathan Fillion who's just wonderful!

Waitress was surprisingly better than I expected. I found some scenes kind of uncomfortable to watch. It is an in-your-face type of movie, showing all the rough edges.

I read more about the story behind this movie than about the storyline itself. All things considered, this is a very good movie. The acting ensemble is amazing (from Keri Russell to Jeremy Sisto, and Andy Griffith delivers an Oscar-worthy best supporting performance) And the loss of Adrienne Shelly (wrote, directed and starred in the movie) is a huge one for Hollywood. Such talent and vision.

The movie was really unique and different from all the other movies out today. There wasn't any outbursts of laughter but there was giggles here and there. Overall, a good movie for girls and guys!

My sister and I really loved this movie. Not cheesy but heart warming. I'm not surprised that it did so well at Sundance.

I laughed and thought: "mmm... Some of those pies she created looked mighty good!"

This movie is amazing! The scenario is refreshing and makes great analogies with pies; yes, you will crave pies afterwards. Nathan Filion, Keri Russell and Andrienne Shelly's acting should win awards. This movie is funny, sad and hopeful. GOTTA SEE. It's been years since a great romantic comedy hasn't graced the silver screen.

It was an okay movie but it was a little bit to drawn out. It could have been a lot shorter.

This is a great movie. Funny, sad, and convincing. The acting is great. It could have easily been a tragedy - a woman in truly terrible straits, and it isn't. Sue me for being an optimist, but this a truly lovely film.

If you like movies that don't offer the purely predictable plots and camera angles, then please run over to a movie theatre and sit yourself down to watch Waitress. I'll admit that the ending is a little too perfect for my tastes, but the film as a whole does stand on its own and represents one woman's struggle in her tormented marriage, her affair and her struggle with her unwanted pregnancy. The characters are real and believable, and the film also appears to have a an affair of its own with pie-making. If you don't want to either bake or eat pie after watching this film, there is likely something wrong with you.

Dark, funny, real. Keri portrays her character in a sympathetic and melancholy light in such a way that you are routing for her to overcome her demons. The supporting cast was fantastic, especially the other waitresses and Andy Griffith. The only complaint I have is about the last couple of scenes which were on the cheesy side. Matching waitress outfits between mom & daughter - a little too much.

Very very slow. The ending is good. There is no plot what so ever.

If you like feel-good movies that go for cheap laughs, and pretend to be 'quirky' in order to have that 'indie' feel than this is the movie for you. If you're looking for substance and authenticity than avoid this at all costs. We left early, got our money back, went to a local restaurant where I got food poisoning. I was in bed throwing up for two days, so my bitterness towards this film is extreme.

I really Love Keri Russell, but really, overall in this movie, it's Nathan Fillion's charm that carries this movie.

Good «yummy has a pie» comedy; you will get some laughs and maybe even a few tears. It's a different movie, it has a repertory feeling to it, but a good one. Too bad it's director/writer/actress Adrienne Shelly's swan song, she was murdered in real life not long after the completion of this film; pity. :¬ (
