This is a classic. It was the first movie I saw in theaters when I was 5. I still cry when I watch it. The special effects were very «avant-garde». Spielberg has always been my favorite director. Great asset to any DVD collection.

I saw this with my granddaughter and thought I would not enjoy it ---was I wrong!!! Wonderful ; touching ; This is for all of us young and old alike. I hope to see it again and I am 81 now.

For its time, it is still the best movie and still offers a lot. It has a great story and teaches children to accept things that are different. Still my favourite all time movie.

This was one of the first movies I saw in the theatre as a kid. I would watch it over and over. It's a classic movie with a great storyline. For the times the effects were pretty good.

It was great at its time, but now it doesn't seem to measure up.
