Cuba, 1958. Radolfo is 20 years old and dreams of becoming a movie director. His father is a rebel persecuted by the police and the family is obliged to flee Havana, taking refuge in a boring village. Rodolfo's aspirations would appear to have been frustrated, however, in that very village, Radolfo is to find his first love and, by unexpected means, shall succeed in making his first film.
