One of the best movies ever made.

If you missed it when it came out 65 years ago, GO SEE IT NOW! You might not get another chance this year to catch it. And if you don't see it this year, well, let's hope you don't get into a fight with a streetcar between now and next year. And, oh, watch out for those streetcars - got a heck of left jab, they do.

Perhaps the definitive private detective film. Bogart was made for the role, and Syd Greenstreet is brilliant as the Fat Man. And the tale of avarice strikes a chord as much today as ever it did. I think I'll go watch this again.

The classic of all film noir detective movies. The characters, writing and directing (John Huston re both) are still current after over sixty years. My only complaint would be Mary Astor. You would think Warner Brothers with all their talent, would come up with a better female lead than her.

The bird did it. Sorry, I had to say it. The truth is, sometimes when newer movies are boring you, you should look back because some of these older movies are amazing. And it is Bogart. Who's cooler than Bogart? Peter Lorre rules too. I love old movies. If you haven't seen it, do so, if you have, see it again.
