An entertaining movie that has no surprises (good or bad)

This was a good, fun movie. I do not usually like these comic book type of movies but it was very enjoyable.

Hellboy 2: from print to screen was an all around fun romp. It is an adequate follow-up to the original movie. Wittier dialogue, better action sequences, stranger characters, weirder settings and just the right amount of bang for the buck. Will it appeal to most - no. Will it appeal to comic book fans - maybe. Will it appeal to Hellboy fans - YES! Kudos to Mr. del Toro on awakening our imaginations.

The villain makes this movie sooo incredibly delicious!!! A very different villain than usual. I love the fantasy aspect. Very refreshing. I really like the Hellboy series. And this one was great too! Riveting, and action packed. AMAZING fight scenes. And I'm a girl!

Excellent movie, fantastic symbolism. Loved the fighting on the gears. Obviously another movie coming. Can't wait for it.

Hellboy 2 was great action packed, funny. Non stop action. This film will keep you stuck in your chair because of the neverending tension. One downside was that the ending was too fast could have been better. Overall it's a great movie.

Not too bad the first hellboy was better but this one includes some funny parts and action parts was good.

It was okay. The concept of Hellboy is great, and Ron Perlman's acting was perfect, I thought. The movie itself was well-made, especially the setting; it was beautiful! However, the script was terrible. The plot felt unoriginal, the conversations were dreary, and some of the "plot twists" were predictable and boring. Not something you'll regret missing, I'd bet, but not something you should stay away from at all costs either.

I wasn't a hellboy fan, AT ALL, but this movie was worth seeing.

What a piece of crap! The director recycled his visuals, the writing was more than cliché, and the only crowd that would enjoy this are 13 year-old males.

The plot is quite disjointed and the character development is poor. I realize this is the second film but often the characters make decisions with no explanation as to their rationale. I guess the audience is just supposed to accept that they're doing that "because" and leave it at that. Also (and I realize this is really superficial), if they'll spend hours on Ron Pearlman's make up to turn him into a red horned demon, can they not spend 5 minutes to get rid of those dark circles under Selma Blair's eyes? I mean, the woman always looks like her cat just died. The only character I actually enjoyed was the Elf prince. But he seams out of place in this boring film.

Del Toro once agian blends mythology, fantasy, the supernatural and human nature into a great film. One of the better movies to come out this summer.

My husband and I loved this movie. We liked the first one, and we liked #2 just as much. Hellboy 2 we will watch again, and buy the DVD when it comes out. Great Movie.

Stunning visuals, really bad jokes. If you can sit through the dialog it's worth seeing.

I couldn't wait for the movie to end. The love story is lame and cheesy and the jokes weren't that funny at all. A perfect Hollywood "cut and paste" job. If you liked the first one, don't even bother with Hellboy2.

Different from the first. Fantastical and funny. Visuals are sumptuous and very creative. Fight choreography great.

Good special effects and action, story and romance was slow at times, was hoping for more wisecracking puns.

Brilliant: it's a good action movie, an excellent comedy and on top of that a charming love story. What else could I wish for?

If you liked the first one, this one was worth seeing. It wasn't as good as the first but still was fun to watch.

I was very disappointed when I saw this film. Its no hellboy 1. The jokes are very cheesy and to be honest the only reason I saw this was because batman: the dark knight was sold out.

Im 12 years old and , the first hellboy was way better more action. But to me it was a little boring. I wouldn't want to see this movie again. It was a waste of my parents money to me.

I think the movie isn't good enough. The plot is flat. After the movie finished, I felt like somebody hadn't finished what they wanted to say. But those characters are nice and interesting. GOOD actors and actresses.

Overall I was quite disappointed with this offering. More action, less romance please! Too much effort was put into trying to "humanise" these characters... why? It spoilt what could have been a good movie!
