[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Personally it isn't a pure masterpiece because in my opinion the whole plot was very linear. And the last half-hour was more depicted rather than dramatically monologued. Also the ending wasn't very good, having cartoonish effects of a ghostly ceremony was extremely weird. And when Indy said for Marion to close her eyes, how did he know that? Nobody else did, and they were just as smart as he was. They didn't explain how the final effect was apart of the development. Becides the study in the very beginning in how they discussed the lost ark's power. And why did Indy ever go against the bad guys. Both sides had the same perspective, so why were they enemies? Just because there was a hard-core kick-ass gun-fight in the beginning, why were they ever enemies? There's only one reason: because the bad guys don't want Dr. Jones to get the ark. They killed for it. Yet both sides had weak perspectives. But despite all of it's flaws, this movie is great. It's unmissable. The action is outstanding, the romance between Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood was spellbinding, and the whole thing all together is just great. Despite it's flaws, it's definitely in my top 10 favourites. 8/10 5.27.2008 -
