I liked it, people are right when they say it's sexy and colorful, however others saying that there could have been more steak are also right. I think these kinds of movies are good to see because they are like classic genre films, something we don't see enough of on the major screens. See it for yourself.

Not bad for a first film. It needs a little more flare for the sequel but I'm intrigued about what the next one will bring, so that makes it a good movie to me.

From what people are writing on this site, you either loved the movie, or you hated it. Well I fall in the middle. I saw it and it wasn't half as bad as some made it out to be. I realize the movie has no super effects but it was ok. Not the greatest film I've ever seen but worth seeing.

This has to be the worst movie of the decade never mind the year. And the most puzzling aspect of all this is the so-called 'amazing' reviews posted here by the 'audience' of 'movie-goers'. Come on people. This has to be one big joke or all the positive 'reviews' are fakes posted by the whoever is behind this farcical soft porn posing as a feature film. This movie has the worst ensemble of third rate actors, cheap tawdry sets, laughable script pulled from god knows where. How in the world did this thing ever get made is a mystery. Please Please do yourselves a huge favor and DO NOT waste your time & money(! ) This movie is not just bad, it is boring AND bad.

Brilliant movie. Sure it's not a Hollywood blockbuster, but if you can shoot a movie like this on the budget of an independent film, my hat goes off to you. Congradulations to the writers. And go see the movie, cause they just don't make films like this anymore.

I think people are going to be talking about this film for a long time. If Eternal goes south of the border, I don't know if Americans will be able to deal with the mature subject matter. Some of the scenes are pretty chocking but all within the limits. Enjoy this movie with care...

Good movie to see with your girlfriend. The plot is not the most sophisticated I've ever seen, but it certainly holds up. As for the imagery, the music, and the decor... incredible. It reminds me of Eyes Wide Shut with a little more significance to the mystery appeal.

Ok so maybe this movie isn't the greatest movie of all times. But I can tell you that it has all the elements of a great movie. And its worth seeing because this is what moviemaking is all about. If you can't go to the movies unless there are super special effects and a cast off of the the oscars red carpet then you will miss out in your lifetime.

This is an incredibly enchanting movie. I only wish they let you drink wine in the cinema. The music and images are spectacular and I felt completely captivated by the atmosphere. Very sexy and sophisticated.

I liked the fact that this movie takes on the form of a classical genre film. Nowadays, you almost can't succeed unless your film has a "Matt Damon" or a matrix style backflip in it and a multi million dollar marketing and merchandising budget. These guys are first time producers and their movie looks like a 50 million dollar film out of hollywood. This is basically an opportunity to see history in the making as the little guy from here takes on the suits in california. [...]

Awesome exploitation of digital technology. So to all the critics of digital who maintain that analog is pure, get a good look at this movie, and it will all be clear. And if you still not convinced, at least you'll see a great film.

I am skeptical about Canadian movies, but I was pleasantly surprised as I thought this was an excellent movie. It was very colorful and exciting, a vampire movie that does not exaggerate the nature of the legend. Excellent cinematography, two thumbs up.

Eternal is a great movie; not just some cheesy vampire flick. You can actually sit through this one and watch a film! Not for the faint at heart, but a definite must see for all others.

What a beautiful movie. I enjoyed watching it and its certainly worth watching. It was well directed and well written. Normally when I go see Canadian made movies I dont expect miracles but this is truly a gem. The story is very realistic, It can happen to anyone. Basically, countess Bathory or any psychotic woman like her could totally be around in this day and age. Its a superb adaptation of the story about worlds most notorious serial killer. While most would immediately think of Jack the Ripper, I am glad to say that I know it was actuallt Countess Erzbeth Bathory.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I am glad that this movie limited the amount of bloodshed and the more horrific details of the sadistic behavior of Countess Bathory. Though she was truly a horrible person, worst even than Jack the Ripper, theres no need for crazy torture scenes when theres a great story to be told. Not many people know that she is the cornerstone of vampirism. She is the one that spurred the creation of the legendary blood-sucking creature with big fangs and slick hair. Ironically a man. I have seen my fare share of vampire movies, and they often get lost in the contemporary myth of dark, caped male vampires with sharp teeth that grow when the lights go out. If your in the mood to get a glimpse of the true legend, go see this movie.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] All in all, Eternal is an entertaining and quite captivating movie. The sex scenes are really out there, but theres nothing overdone about them. I felt a certain mystique and maturity that went with this film because it incorporates so many themes, including sensual eroticism, and suspense and a little sarcastic comedy. A thriller on the rocks with a twist of lime.

This is one of the most solid Canadian films Ive seen. The acting is great all around. I was looking forward to a cheesy vampire movie, as I was dragged here to appease my friend. It really chocked me and it was completely the opposite of what I expected. Its really cool to see Canadian actors perform at the level of Hollywood big shots. If I wasnt Canadian and from Montreal I wouldnt have known that Eternal was made in Quebec, not that thats a bad thing, it just that few directors and writers here go all out to make a film that can appeal to a North American audience.

Eternal had me on the edge of my seat. As the story developed I really took a liking to the detective. I wasnt able to predict the ultimate direction of the movie, and thats a big plus for me. If youre expecting catwoman or spiderman, dont come see this movie. But if youre in the mood for a thriller in the classic genre this is the movie for you.

I saw the movie yesterday and remain impressed despite the mixed critics about the film ( after all, the critics gave Forgotten a 'bomb' review but it still did well in the box offfice) The directors gave us a sexual, suspense thriller and that is exactly what I saw. I will recommend this movie to all my friends. See it for yourself.

I heard about this movie through my friends who saw it recently. I like this guy Conrad Pla, the main actor in the movie. He turns me on, like my boyfriend does but knows where he is going in this movie and maybe even in life ( are you reading this Jesse! ) I also saw him in the Terminal movie with Tom Hanks. Caroline's first victim in the movie should come back and rise from the dead as she was innocent and sexy. I thought she played a great opening scene. Come to think of it, my friends said this was a trilogy. So do they really die... ?

Not since Daughters of Darkness have I seen a more sexually charged film about female serial murder and vampirism. The lesbian scenes, the sex and the violence are elegant beyond belief. The characters are twisted and perserve. My cup of tea (Warning: Not for Van Helsing fans)

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Terrible, terrible, terrible. This movie is so full of plots that it is hard to keep track. Many murders occur with nobody solving them. Many, many loose threads. A movie that is stupid with very poor acting on the part of all the main actors. I am sorry I wasted my time to go and see such nonsense...

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I found this movie to be really bad and not worth it even for a Tuesday cheap night. First of all there is a some nudity which may entice some viewers as the woman are very beautiful but this falls short of soft porn where it leave you hanging wanting more as you get nothing but a cheap tease. The story does not follow through the main actor a detective who does not even know how to use the internet in modern times and needs to ask his baby sitter for help where she discovers a user name and password as he was clueless. The way he respects his wife and friends is terrible. How he ends up in Italy when everyone is searching for him just blows my mind. Anyways its a waste if you ask me and would not recommend it to anyone. [...]

An awesome performance by Caroline Neron. For those who know her and who havent seen this movie, its an eye opener
dont miss out. I have a feeling that people will be talking about it for a long time. If not for the brilliant imagery and soundtrack, then for the provocative sexuality that has been morphed in the exploitation of vampire films. It will undoubtedly keep you on the edge of your seat, not in a horrific way, but in a very intelligent and thrilling way.

Unmitigated trash. This movie is very bad. The leads are leaden and script simply stiff. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT WASTE it even for dvd. Monumental mediocre effort without an ounce of mmerit. It is a miracle this film found distribution. I love movies and this 'film' is an insult to anyone's sensibilities. [...]

I didn't like this movie, Caroline Neron has no credibility in that role. I hope the Canadian film industry will soon wisen up and stup using humorist and soap opera actors in their thrillers and horror movies...

Ok, this movie is not going to win any Oscars, but it's not nearly as bad as the comments made in this site. The story is definitely original. The cinematography is well done. True, the subject matter is not for everyone, but if you are in the mood for something different and you dont mind blood, sex, and controversy, you will probably enjoy the movie. Go see it and judge by yourself..

What was awesome about this film is that there werent any super weird and trivial elements like most Canadian movies I have seen. Eternal is filmed like the movies from the sixties where you werent inundated by effects to fit our short attention span, yet it has all the qualities of todays Hollywood suspense movies. Its refreshing to see that the art of filmmaking still exists.

I absolutely adored this film. I was really hooked as pope worked to unravel the truth. In fear of saying too much, I will let the viewers decide for themselves. The film has some pretty chocking sex scenes, come at your own risk.

Caroline Neron was awesome. She reminds me of Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct but with a flavor of home that I am accustomed to. Her presence on the screen is really superb, she has all of the makings of a Hollywood movie star I hope she becomes one. Detective Pope was also a strong character. I like his dont take crap attitude. He also got me laughing a few times with his quick replies. I dont know too much about Countess Bathory or her story, but I guess Eternal makes a good starting point and I can put the whole vampire myth into a historical context.

I was pleasantly surpised... this low-budget movie had a good mix of sensuality, drama, and believe it or not humour. Hopefully they'll get some financing to produce the sequel.

Eternal is a movie that really made me think. It combines many themes in a seamless fashion. There are many innuendos to the watchful eye, which makes this a film worthy of classic status. Its a relief to see how well a movie can turn out without the major Hollywood puppeteers. I especially enjoyed the fact that I could watch the characters develop without the predictability of their habitual genres. This makes a film exciting and it worked very well for eternal. This movie is worth seeing for sure. Its funny because I became more inquisitive about the movie as time passed after seeing it. I love movies that develop twists that make you think. I wasnt left guessing too much as the movie progressed; its really on the whole that the Eternal creates a feeling of wonder..
