Great movie! Loved the various viewpoints that slowly revealed what was really going on. Not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination but one of the best thrillers I've seen in along time.

It will keep you on the edge of your seat for the full movie. It was a great idea to have all the flash backs. Worth seeing.

I thought this movie had potential but it was squandered away about halfway through the movie. Interesting idea but not well executed.

I was REALLY surprised by this movie. It DOES NOT deserve a 6.5 rating... this is at least an 8 or a 9 on 10. Very original and entertaining and full of intrigue and suspense... a must see. TRUST ME!

I am absolutely disappointed. It had the potential to be great, to be an awesome," Holy crap man did that really happen?!" thriller. And it failed! Why else would I be reviewing it? I like writing mean reviews. Accentuate the negative, I say. Anyway, Forrest is wasted in his role. This guy is an amazing actor, and he plays a guy who... Damn. I can't think of anything. He runs around with a camera. The movie has more characters than a King novel, and most of them are useless. Howard, Anna, Anna's mom, the Spec-ops guy's brother, all of their roles are unnecessary. I could see a book having these characters, but in a fast-paced action conspiracy-ish film, I don't need to know that Howard will save the little girl. He has to, since this movie is cliched. I don't need to know that they'll kill the guy's bro. They have to, since this movie is cliched. I don't need to know that Barnes is played by a whiter than driven snow, instead of Whitaker the Wonderful, who would have been great. Barnes has to be white and mean, since this movie is cliched. The only part that really shines, and even this is hindered by facts I'll explain later, is the Car Chase. I'll repeat that again. Car Chase. This is one of the best, folks, rivalling the Bourne Series. However, it's cut off by Thomas Barnes' car getting t-boned into a corner, which could have been a delicious subversion of most Car Chase scenes, but no. My yummy Car Chase sandwich is ruined by a big gob of rotten pop-out-the-windshield- and-walk-away-unscathed mayo. Gosh this review is disjointed and overlong, and full of cliches! Just like Vantage Poi-. No. I won't go there.

It was okay, but thoroughly far-fetched as far as the double goes. The constant rewinding of the clock was annoying after a while. I'm glad I waited for the DVD.

Some people are guaranteed to like Vantage Point. They are. But what I didn't like about Vantage Point wasn't the switchbacks with characters; in fact, I found that necessary to introduce the suspect. What I hated was the fact that when the villain was revealed, I was like "Oh... alright then." I expected some revelatory culprit and didn't really get one, so I felt like the movie wasted a large amount of time building up suspense for nothing, really. Dennis Quaid, Sigourney Weaver, and Forest Whitaker were all neutral and unengaging. However, on the plus side, there should be a tip of the hat to the action choreographers, who did a great job with pacing, especially with the car chase scenes. Anyway, I felt I wasted my money, and didn't really get a whole action thriller.

Vantage point is a thriller with tons of excitement. It keeps going abck in time though, so if you don't like that then this movie is not going to be enjoyable for you. If you don't like to think in movies, this also might not be as enjoyable. I, however LOVED IT!!! And even if you don't like when movies go back in time or make you think, its definitely worth your while seeing it!!

Not bad. Gets credit for trying something different, although after the fourth point of view you begin to wonder if the next view is going to be that of an ice cream cone. Would have liked it better but the motivation for one of the bad guys and an act of another bad guy right at the end did not seem credible.

The repetition was painfully hard to sit through, but even if you don't mind that, the twists were mostly predictable and the action was fake and exactly what you would expect from a bad action movie. Terrible film.

First, you say "thats not going to be a very good movie" but it deserves its high rate when the real action takes place. At the end of the movie I felt myself very effected by the movie. Good one.

I normally don’t like repetitive movies like this. Like Groundhog Day, that keeps covering the same thing over and over. Be aware this IS 8 different views of the same incident in 90 minutes. But it seems to pull it off. Dennis Quaid gave it his all, and reminded me of Harrison Ford.

Like it acknowledges, there is language in the movie. The movie itself, though, has a great plot with a good number of twists so you don't see the ending until very near the end. Well done!

I thought this movie was great. It has a really creative way of unfolding the plot, telling you what happened little by little. This is not a conventional or mindless action movie, but it has all the best elements of a good action movie with a refreshing twist. The acting is very believable as well.

I loooved it. It was pretty well done and exciting the whole way through. I didn't find it repetitive or annoying when they show the main event like 5 times. Some part was overdone and got a little weird but overall the film was pretty decent!

It won't go down in history as a classic but it was very entertaining and worth seeing. Those people complaining about the repetitious nature of the film completely missed the point. They are the type of viewer that need everything spoon fed.

Very different construction from a regular film, the timeline is repeated several times from different 'Vantage Points'. Likely because this was original proposed as a season for 24. I felt some of the story lines had no real purpose, but overall it kept me interested till the end.

I feel like this movie is a combination of every car chase and flashback genre movie I've ever seen over the years. Talk about a redundant plot and story line. I wasn't impressed once throughout the movie. It ran on a mostly predictable formula that has been proven to provide jolts per minute action to stimulate the viewer. Definitely a rental movie at best.

This was a thriller. A good one at that. I kept wondering what was going to happen, and many things get explained at the end. Although I too would have liked a bit more explanation as to why people acted the way they did. There were one or two parts that to me didn't make sense, but overall, a great movie.

For those people who rate this movie low , I would like to tell you that I have watched this movie second time!! I really enjoy watching it so much and I don't understand why those people complained it replay again and again , even a car accident both side have different story to tell, this movie use several puzzles to show the whole story , people feel annoying because they so used to let one hero in the movie to tell you what happening. And we always put our self-image on the hero. If you want to watch a hero movie , or those regular action movie , you will be very disappointed , but if you want to see something new , this one is a good choice.

It's hard to believe that even kids between the ages of 13-17 actually liked this movie! I thought kids were smarter than that! That's a couple hours I will never get back. It was like a cruel, torturous joke. How many more times can you watch the same scene before blowing your brians out!

I didn't watch any of the trailer or read any reviews, so I had no idea what the movie was going to be like or about. The movie was very exciting and it kept me excited for the entire story. I don't usually watch action movies, so this was quite a new feeling. The flashbacks were a little tiring, but the whole movie overall was just gorgeous! I really recommend this movie, , a lot!

The initial trailer had me quite excited and anxious to see this movie. But then some negative press and bad review titles (as I don't read articles and reviews for movies I plan on seeing) made me back off. Thankfully, I decided to go and see it anyway, I will admit, for lack of alternatives! Vantage Point was a good movie, worth seeing. A solid 7/10. It had an original pace and storytelling approach. The acting was effective and convincing. Quaid, Whitaker and Hurt really deliver good performances. But this movie is not about the acting or the performances. It's about the story, the twists resulting from the different angles the story is told and re-told from. Are there flaws in it? Of course there are. When attempting such a complicated re-telling from various points of view, there will be mistakes, miscues, and oversights. And anytime you touch upon the story of the politics of terrorism, there are bound to be likes and dislikes with storyline decisions made. But all in all, it was a good movie. I found it very entertaining, worth the price of admission.

It seems that they spent all of their money on the one scene and Dennis Quaid. They keep on using that same scene over and over again, until I could hear people in the audience voice their disgust over it. I did not enjoy this movie. I regret that I spent my time, and wasted my money to go it.
