It was a great movie but it was short. I really liked the big turtle. Grace.

Enjoyed the 3D aspect! Love learning and seeing prehistoric creatures in the environment. Nice story in the movie too. Wish it was longer, but great show none the less!

It's a very educational movie. But more content will be better, a little bit too simple.

Great documentary and the animation is good. I'm always appalled and the amount of information we possess and gather from prehistoric times. Life must of been in abundance when we find so much evidence of it, and it 'survived' till today! Take the whole family to see it; would also make a great school outing; but too bad it’s short, 40 minutes isn’t enough. Still recommended! I give this one 8½.

My 7-year old daughter really loved it. I hope to purchase it soon. It has sparked an interest of fossils with her. I know because she has to read a heavy comprehension book every night from school. Only two stories interest her and they involve fossils. Great job National Geographic!!

Underwhelmed. There was potential in the idea that could have made this so much more.

The 3D was better than I thought. Typically short but it had an okay story. Only real problem was the poor quality of the IMAX screen - if the image was clearer it would have been amazing.

The scenario was very plausible and seemed to be based on the latest science. It gave a good sense of how different paleontologists in various parts of the world piece together not only ancient histories of cause and effect but are now able to begin to relay ideas of how the environment might have appeared. The swirling of the schools of fish was fantastic, both from the air and especially in the water. The 3D effects were very fine, very natural. Since almost all the film was underwater the sound track was crucial because the animated creatures could not really emit any loud sounds. It worked well. The night scene had an erie atmosphere to it. It was excellent. The textures and lighting effects throughout the film were great.
