Classic Dr. Seuss, great animation, but yet another animated film, they're all starting to look the same, yawn... Cheers Shaun.

Wow this movie messes with your mind. I'm 29 years old and I wonder how it affects little kiddies. Probably will bend up their little minds real good. I did really enjoy Carol Burnett's character, the mean kind of domineering female animal in the jungle. And Jim Carrey's character, Horton, well it sounds like Jim Carrey recorded the character's voice in an echoey sound room. I would not recommend this movie for kids or adults. It's way too complex, really bends your mind. Plus the characters just look really weird, as Dr. Seuss's characters all did in his books. If you have some green ham and eggs with you - throw it at the movie screen.

No more than a B+ for the quality of the animation. The story line gets a B-; and has a comedy, no more than a C. Best viewed when you are 13 to 17 yoa.

Wow. This was a great movie! It was actually really funny and they actually left in some Dr. Seuss! A good story. I loved the funny-little-pop-culture tidbits. All I can say is that they could have done MORE and something different with the movie, not making identical to other Dreamworks animated movies.

I went with a large group and we all loved it. The pop culture references were so accurate. We loved the anime scene and the little yellow thing that envisions his miniature world where "... everyone is a pony, and they eat rainbows and poop butterflies!" I haven't laughed like that at a movie in a long, long time. Great movie!! GO see it immediately. Kids and Adults will love it.

I went with my nephews and their parents, and we all had fun and generally enjoyed the movie. But the screenwriters were no Dr Seuss. Some later scenes took me back to my childhood and right to reading the book with my dad. But I only remember laughing out loud once. To the line “I love the smell of Bananas in the morning. ” When the monkeys were using Bananas as ammunition.

I took 3 boys aged 7, 9, 10 and they all loved the movie. It may have been cheesy at times, but the boys loved the "cheese". As a parent, I really liked the lesson behind the story. And, yes they may have repeated it, but it's a lesson worth repeating... again and again.

It was so adorable. My mom and I went for a girls night out and saw it. There was nothing else playing so we check this out and were both glad that we did. It was a bit campy at parts but also smart and great for a laugh. People you have to remember that this is a childrens film.

Colorful bright and cheary. Simple and easy to follow plot line (repeated many times over so that even the most common house plant baked on grass is likely to get it) Predictable and cheezy yet strangely comforting to see in an otherwise abysmally void choice for entertainment at time viewed by this critic. I recommend for those that want a "feal good" movie that is suitable for viewers of all age. On the whole, the trailers, not unlike most, give the whole story away as well as the better gags. No surprises except for Jim Carey's delusion of grandeur where he incarnates japanese animated hero and vilains (complete with sub-titles) Jim Carey always succeeds in making me laugh at least once. Had he been born a couple of generations ago, he would definitely have given Mel Blanc a run for his money.

THIS MOVIE JUST SUCKED. No point to it at all I thought it would be good like Ice Age and Monster house and others but helping a spec of dust, its just the dumbest thing EVER. Avoid it at all costs. I know some people really like it but I'm definitely not one of them.

I really enjoyed this movie. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments. The story was interesting and entertaining for young and old (although I think older kids might enjoy it more) I really liked the animation. The Whos and other creatures (i.e. : Horton's "students") were really cute. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes comedies!
