I did not enjoy this movie. It is as though they bought a book on how to make an indie flick. Vintage clothes - check. Quirky music - check. Outcasts who are actually cool - check. Punk rock references - check. I could go on and on. The dialogue is way beyond one in high school and so contrived. We get it, everyone is cool, witty and oh so hip. Ultimately, I wanted to leave well before the end if it weren't for the fact I wasn't driving. Just awful.

Very funny. Ellen Page was hilarious. Characters drew me in and kept me engrossed.

I don't understand how a film that promotes teen pregnancy can get so much hype. It's extremely boring and the storyline is very weak. Not the slightest bit amusing. Also, the music was annoying at times.

I just couldn't get past the really bad dialogue, full of one-liners that you wouldn't hear anywhere other than in a movie. Am surprised it won for screenplay. Over-rated to me, critics were going ape-crap for it. It wasn't a terrible movie but I felt that it could have dug deeper and gone riskier.

There are only two types of people that watch this movie - those who get it and those who don't. I got it and it was delightfully intelligent, funny, witty, creative. You cannot help but fall deeply in love with Juno. Ellen Paige's performance is undeniably worth the Oscar nod, she is a Bright young talent, unique in her own right. If you liked/loved Little Miss Sunshine, you'll love this movie.

Ok, this movie was not that bad, but it could have been much better. I think the casting was good, the storyline was decent, and the actors really did a good job, but it has some cons: For one thing, it could have been funnier. If this movie is labeled as a comedy, then they should have added more jokes to live up to that genre. Second, it did not make alot of sense with the main idea that it portrayed. What I mean by that is, the message it portrayed was "Once teens have sex and get pregnant, they wont want to have sex anymore". Well that's just simply wrong. They probably wouldn't even give a crap and keep having sex. But, those are just 2 minor flaws that you can easily overlook. So go see it, it's a good movie, and have fun.

Some people said they didn't think it was funny at all, but I would have to strongly disagree. Ellen Page's performance was nothing short of amazing, and although many people have different types of humor I thought this was a real relatable comedy. As too those who said it'd be cheaper if you just looked out on the street to see a pregnant teens, that is extremely rude and very unnecessary. It's not like she was a hooker or anything close to it, just cause she got pregg., doesn't mean she lives on the street oh world traveler.

This is supposed to be a comedy? I never even giggled. I don't understand what all the rave has been about. Not much of a story line and rather boring.

It's ok but I would not spend your money on it. All it basicly is a teenage girl gets pregnant wow that happens everyday it's cheepper just to look out on the street same deal no cost...

EXTREMELY GOOD MOVIE!!! I'm a guy and don't typically enjoy this type of movie (chick flick? ), but I'll be the first to say this movie was brilliant. Ellen Page's performance was incredible. Her ability to execute sharp, witty dialogue was flawless. The story was "warm-hearted" and meaningful without being sloppy or cliche.

It looked to me like a movie for the under 30's crowd. It was just okay, but not academy award stuff.

The movie keeps you watching from beginning to end with very good acting. Doesn't "sugar coat" the reality of teenage pregnancy and there is no "fairy tale" ending.

I finally had the chance to see this one. It is an enjoyable movie that really pushes the limits regarding subtlety of character. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite give it a full '10' because I never really got fully engaged. I am sure it is just me. But, put it side-by-side with "Junebug" and you might agree.

This was one of the best movies I have seen. Juno is a different girl who doesn't afford to be treated like a jerk. She takes responsibilities, but in a different way but still manege to do them. Even if she is a 16 year old girl and is pregnant she manages to go to school and doesn't bother listening to what the other people say at her.

If you like obscure music references and quirky dialogue then you'll love this movie! In fact, as long as the above doesn't bother you, then you should still really like this movie. Every actor in the movie commits to their role and plays a significant part in the movie. It's especially nice to see a teen drama movie where the parents actually have something productive to say and aren't completely useless. No filler scenes and a good story with many great underlying themes. Go see it now!

A terrific little movie - funny, warm, well directed and well acted. Ellen Page is terrific and Vancouver never looked better. The movie is a lot like Ellen Page, funny, quirky, but sometimes what is said makes you think.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Silly movie. Boring, overly scripted, wordy, not funny, romanticizes teenage pregnancy, and a definite anti-abortion bias. And this movie beat out the Kite Runner for an academy award? I heard so many great things about this movie, so my curiousity was piqued - all the more so as it was shot in CANADA with Canadian actors, and the screenplay written by Canadians - great publicity for the Canadian filmmaking industry. Boy, was I wrong. I sometimes wondered what were the screenwriter (s) were thinking when they wrote the script. Did they have their head in the clouds? Or perhaps a visit to a local youth help clinic for a reality check might have shed a little more insight. Most teen pregnancies are not from such well-off upper-middle class families, with such understanding & empathetic parents; most 16 yr-old pregnant teenagers don't have access to their parent's van to drive around whenever they please. The movie is not representational at all. The precocious, worldly, know-it-all," I'm-so-smarter-than- the-rest-of-the-world" attitude of the teenager was particularly annoying & unfunny throughout the film. All I could think of throughout watching this colossal bore was how could somebody supposedly so smart, be so pregnant? The movie may have been original, but funny it was not.

Any Movie with a song in by the greatest Rock and Roll band ever "Mott The Hoople" is worth seeing. Witty, enjoyable movie. Great movie to de-stress to. I'm glad she didn't flip about pregnancy and stayed grounded. If she had I'd still be stressed out.

I've browsed through all the reviews and it's funny to see how the comments that critisize the movie are the ones with the most negative/childish replies... what ever happened to a persons right to an opinion? This movie is boring, slow and unrealistic; I never expect much realisim from Hollywood but after all the hype I thought I'd check it out despite the fact that I'd heard that the movie had a vieled anti-abortion feel to it. I was dissapointed, the dialogue was annoying and not particularly funny, the acting was not amazing (although it wasn't that bad) and the ease with which she handled her pregnancy was laughable... a GREAT teen pregnancy movie would show a struggling teen mom (you know juggling work and school... and all the bullying/snide remarks that come from cruel people) whose boyfriend has left her after finding out that she's pregnant, who has an unsupportive if not slightly hostile family and who goes through a difficult pregnancy (morning sickniess, swollen feet, back ache, extreme mood swings. Fatigue and stress from social pressures ect) and who struggles emotionally between abortion and adoption, if she choses adoption she should go through periods where she regrets her dicission because she doesn't know where and with whom her baby will end up with ect ect THAT would be a great movie (given to the right actress and with the right dialogue), JUNO is not that kind of movie, it's too cookie cutter and shallow and even comes with a happily-ever-after ending, I honestly don't know what all the hype is about.

Surprising movie, my wife wanted to see it because of the review, but looking at the type of movie I wasn’t really interested. Generally if I go to the theater I’m looking for action, not a fan of going for drama or any slower type movie (save these for home) but to my surprise I actually liked this one, didn’t recognize any of the actors, but I appreciated the acting. Not the typical movie I’d recommend, but it was worth seeing.
