This movie is amazing. It's a different comedy which is nice. Seth Rogan and James Franco together are excellent. I laughed my ass off. I loved James Franco before this movie and now I would be his groupie. He's so hilarious!!

It was quite contrived... as is expected for this type of movie; unfortunately it wasn't all that funny either. Honestly though, I think most people could enjoy at least some aspect of it... there's just so many comedic moments. Personally I liked what happened to Seth Rogan's ear and the jokes that followed. I found the villains to be really annoying as did the other 3 people I watching the movie with (not funny or particularly evil)

OMG I had no clue Franco could act so good as a stoner. This movie is really funny but you have to be very attentive to catch all the jokes because there are a lot of them!

It's so ridiculous that it's completely hilarious. Unless you lack a sense of humor it's impossible to be bored and not laugh. Stoners of course will be laughing the hardest. I put it up there with Harold and Kumar.

The first time I saw the commercial I thought it was gonna be another one of the movies where they put all the funniest parts in the 30 seconds of tv time. My boyfriends dragged me to the movie and turns out there are hundreds of fast and witty comments from the amazing actors chosen to be in this movie. Everything from the main storyline to Seth Rogens job is just hilarious. I've now seen the movie 3 times in theatre and plan on buying the film when it comes out on DVD. Many of the lines still ring through my head and are used in sarcastic conversations with my friends.

It was ok. I guess I expected more. Towards the end it became much more of an action movie than a comedy. I would have liked it if they had put a bit more slapstick into all those action scenes, but oh well. The last scene with them talking in the diner was histerical. Wish it could have all been like that.

I find this hard to call a "Good Movie" ok Commey on the lowest level with a few good scenes. A kick in the balls and smoking up with the stoner. Nothing really talented about it I've had boyfriends who were funnier.

Judd Apatow has had some incredible movies, Super Bad being my favorite. But in all honesty I didn't think this was one of his best, I loved it but I think what ruined it was the way the jokes were said. They were funny, but the timing seemed off. Regardless I thought the movie was funny and clever and was all about friendship. I also thought James Franco was incredible playing a dealer... everyone knows him as Peter Parker's best friend (and as a hottie) but he seemed to fit the role of a lazy, long-haired dealer.

This movie is STUPID!!! My boyfriend and I should have left the theater. I could tell this movie wasn't worth watching in the first 30 mins and to have to sit through the next 82 mins was painful. You don't have to be a "pothead" to enjoy a "stoner" movie (in response to another review)'cause I've seen Super Troopers and that movie was awesome. Pineapple Express is just a BAD movie that was nothing but a waste of money.

They tried too hard. It really isn't funny. People just think that Apatow movies are automatically funny so that is why the average rating is an 8 rather than a 2. Superbad is funny, this movie isn't.
