This movie is so bad it's not even funny. Pure Hollywood. Fantasy MMA. Cheesy and Tacky. It's a kid movie to get kids hyped about MMA. Very childish movie. If you wanna train to fight after seeing this movie, lol god help you. There is one good thing in this movie, Djimon Hounsou, his character was the only good thing in there. His character was inspiring. The rest of this movie... And I love a good fight flick, I love martial arts, I'm an instructor, but this movie isnt' even entertaining. Some flicks are just that at best but not this one."cool fight scenes"? Not even, I don't get why there are ppl giving it good reviews, they must be 12 yrs old. Red Belt is a lot better!!

Not bad... I was actually surprised to see how enjoyable it was... it's entertaining why 7/10... I hated the female character... can't even remember her name. Sean Faris is so FINE, and hot (way hotter than Tom Cruise ever was)

I went to this movie simply because of the 8.1 rating, I had a couple hours to kill. It was entertaining but very predictable. I gave it a 7 because I love a good fight movie, and this had some great fight scenes. There were actually some skilled fighters.

Not worth your money at all... It is a typical fighting/love romance movie. Storyline is bleh... boring... too predictable... Save the bucks and spend it on something better.

As usual, the trailer makes up for the movie's lack of depth. Even, the fighting scenes were not good. What is "mixed martial arts", anyway? Besides, I do know that there are some non-Muslim people in Senegal, and a lot of Senegalese people could live abroad. However, a Senegalese man who will settle in Brazil and raise his children there, while living in a dangerous neighborhood? I presume that since some of Jean Roqua's wrestling moves are similar to the ones used in African wrestling (and Senegalese people are definitely good in this sport), that's the reason, they decided the character to be from Senegal. I think that the fighting catches were a bunch of rubbish.

The movie was fantastic, non-stop action. It was exciting the whole way through, but also had some heart-touching moments. The actors were very good. I would go see this movie again in a heartbeat.
