I liked the story, the end was not what I expected, they could have done some different. Worth seeing, anyway.

OMG this movie was AMAZING. I love it!! You guys really should go see it, always kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat!!! Kinda got disappointed by the ending, but good movie none the less!

If you want to shut your mind off in regards to reasonable expectations even in fiction, then go see this. In short, a string of poorly executed scenes with one-dimensional dialogue fueled by hellfire.

I am giving this movie a 3 because I had some laughs while watching it. That is sad considering that it is not a comedy! I don't understand why a lawyer is running around doing police work... haha.

Very good movie overall, the ending left something to be desired, felt a bit rushed and too convenient given the story told before it. But oh well, I loved it before that part. The violence wasnt nearly as over the top as some reviewers here would lead you too believe, id say it was slightly worse than some tv shows.

I don't know how this movie got high reviews. The storyline was so ridiculous and totally unbelieveable. The ending is a disappointment, I think it had the potential to be a really good movie, but the ending just blew it.

These days to find a movie that can surprise you is rare. This movie takes you on a captivating journey and you will find yourself trying to guess what happends next. It is smart and well acted and is worthy of a rating of 10 simply becuase it will keep you talking about it long after the actual movie is over.

Thought it was going to be bad like the many newpaper reviews had indicated. However, I found the film to be solidly good. Very suspenseful. Kept me gussing from the beginning til the end. By the way, I really enjoy Butler's acting. I think he did a good job.

A mixture of today's reality and yesteryears injustices... the movie was unforgiving to the meek and mild but gave those who could stomach a good murder mystery (how did he do this from the inside of a prison) something to watch and keep guessing. Clive is at the top of his game in this one. The killings went too far for the protaganist to come out of this one unscathed.

Gerard Butler never fails to satisfy your cravings for action. He did a great job in playing a role as the victim and the villain at the same time. Although I'm very disappointed with conclusion of the plot, the action still had me at the edge of my seat.

The concept is good, but the ending ruined everything, I don't understand why this ending was picked, because it's not in line with the story and it's like the whole story was for nothing. Nobody learned anything from Clyde at the end. Quite disappointing.

This is a well thought out movie. It grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let go of you until a few minutes before the end and if you haven't got good control you will be grabbing the person beside you. Action packed movie full of surprises, and doesn't give you a chance to catch your breath. A well paced movie where you can keep track of the story. Both leads, Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler acted their roles well – Gerard with just a hint of his Scottish accent – lovely to hear it just coming through softly. And how wonderful to see Colm Meaney who played really well working along with Jamie – great team. Not too bad on the profanity side but could have done with less graphic scenes. Good cinematography. Loved the zooming in on the prominent buildings. If you have the stomach for the gory stuff don't miss this movie. It is one you will not forget. Trust me!!

I never wanted to see this movie originally, but my movie was sold out so I had to watch it, and I was soo happy that mine was sold out, this movie had me hooked on it the entire time, right from the beginning I knew this movie will be good, and I like the actors, Jamie Foxx and Gerard is soo good (from the ugly truth) so goo watch it if you like a thriller/suspense/action.

The movie was really well done!!! I believed in the characters from the beginning to th end, especially in the main one. He brought up the real family emotions and attachement in a way which couldn't make me hate him, even in the end. Absolutely great!

Two of the biggest egos in Hollywood - I don't know which one of them are more in love with themselves. I realise probably all movie stars are inherently vain, but these guys just ooze their self obsessed sleaze out of their pores. Ahhh, maybe if those two narcisistic pricks were not in the movie it may have been better.

As a law student, I found it to be an interesting insight on the justice system (plea bargainning being a common reality in Canada as well) - but as an earlier comment pointed out, one must remain critical. It is, after all, but fiction. Otherwise, good performance by both Butler and Foxx. Disappointing ending, but still definitely worth seeing!
