The movie was good, the story line plot etc... but there might have been a little bit too much singing, that it began to eat into the story. All in all a great see and worth the price of admission.

I expected much more from this movie. A more interesting plot line, more laughs but it was mostly cheesy and predictable. I know it is a musical but still too much singing, the boring kind (not the funny like in hairspray) An okay chick flick at most.

Its cute and funny... I came out of the theatre wanting to dance. Its cheesy in parts (Pierce Brosnan singing is just strange) It is a lighthearted movie meant to make you feel good and it does.

Amazing film from start to finish. I have lost count how many times I've watched it and listened to the soundtrack. Fantastic acting, singing awesome, award performances from Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and all the cast. Beautiful scenery. Good storyline, warm hearted, funny, just makes you get up and sing. Absolutely love this film. I hope they get something out of this as it it took alot for them all to sing in this and is the best movie ever.

Nice little feel good movie that tugs on the emotions especially during the final 15 minutes. The story would have been great even without the music as a backdrop. There were a few big negatives for me though. I found that the actual music delivery by the actors was weak which for a musical is quite a letdown. If you can get by that, then I can see how so many people would give this movie a 9.

Hi there. I'm an Aussie that has relocated to Canada. I saw the movie in Oz but missed the ending. Why you ask? I got up out of my seat and motivated the majority of the viewing audience to get up and dance. They loved it and it will always be to most memorable movie that we have ever attended. Granted children under 12 thought their parents were behaving oddly. I am now flying to San Francisco mid-September to see this "The movie of the Year" again and hopefully motivate the audience to get up, dance, truly enjoy the film and create a memory to proudly tell their children about!! Go see it as soon as you can. Live YOUR dream. I do every day!!

It was a really good show. All of the problems, and situations broke out into singing. If you like a musical, you will like this show, and also if you like Abba's music.

This was such a bad musical. I have to admit people were laughing, but they were laughing at how horrible the acting was a especially when Pierce Brosnan started to sing. It was so bad. I can hardly wait for his new Christmas CD. Just kidding that would way to funny. Do not waste your time and your money on this one. You would be better to go play bingo or something along those ways.

Best movie I've ever seen... I hated ABBA in the 70's, didn't listen to their music, hated their costumes and the fact that they sang phonetically... But this is the best time I've ever had at a movie. The whole audience enjoys it, everyone leaves feeling up and is smiling and singing. Seen it four times, and planning on another one. It doesn't seem like a musical, there is enough balance of music and dialogue and dance... just right... take your mom, your sister, your best friend, your aunt... over and over again. Am awaiting the subtitled 'karaoke' version. Hope this one is in my Christmas stocking.

How do I elaborate? This movie included poor singing from Meryl Streep, horrible singing from Pierce Brosnon, and a completely boring direction from Tom Hanks and his wife. What more can I say? If you would like to get in a few extra hours of sleep, then go and encounter this dragging film. Otherwise, this is a complete waste of money and a complete waste of hope for something watchable. There was no exuberance, no breathtaking experiences, just plain old same old bad music. I suggest a couple of singers who can act a little, instead of actors who sound like dying cows when THEY sing! [...]

A very good story with great music. A heart warming piece of work that will make you want to scream, shout and dance to the rhythm. You will love the entertainment and comedy they included. I am a boy and don't like musicals but this masterpeice will change your perspective on musicals.

Exactly what the movie is... a great musical with great actors, produced by Tom Hanks and his wife. During the movie watch for the cameos of the REAL ABBA members, and don't forget to check out the new SING A LONG version that is released this Labour Day Long Weekend... GREAT MOVIE GO SEE IT!!!

Great storyline and scenery. Absolutely irresistible with the magic music from ABBA. It was a joy to see smiles on everyone's faces as they exited the theatre, laughing and singing snippets of the songs. We have enough of a diet heavy with violence, cruelty, realism up close with special effects... this was pure escapism. What a welcome change and relief. I've seen it once with my girlfriend, once with my husband and my grandaughter wants to go with me and see it again. That'll be twice for her and three times for me and I'll gladly go again if someone else wants to see it. At last, a movie for all ages... she's 17 and I'm 67!

Went to see it with my 22 year old daughter and we both laughed our way through the show. We went right from the theater to buy the CD to download on our I pods. One of the great things about this movie was the fact that all the actors and actresses did their own singing. It was a fabulous and touching movie that left you feeling cheery. Looking forward to owning a copy of the DVD to enjoy over and over again.
