I liked all the strategizing that went on with the characters in this movie. It played out well IMO & never got too unrealistic. Everything seemed plausable to me. Very good.

This is an interesting movie about how a poor college geek, is drawn into the fast life of gambling. The plot moves well, and there's a good mix of some humor & gripping excitement. I felt it did a good job of showing how the glitzy glamorous life in Vegas can draw an ordinary person into its jaws, and have a negative impact on ones life.

The best thing about "21" is that you don't have to know how to play blackjack to understand and enjoy it. It's a pretty good movie despite some slight defects, but on average it works like a charm. It's hard to imagine that this was actually based on truth, but the story is entertaining, thrilling, humorous, and affective all at the same time. However, the film starts off a little too fast, and almost bizarrely random in Ben's decision to join the team, but winds down before it gets too out of hand. Of course, there is your share of double-crossing in this movie as well, and "21" does a fine job of adding an exciting plot and character development to the mix. The acting is very good. Each character is wonderfully depicted and you can really get a sense of what each one is thinking. Also, the film captures the image and wonder of Vegas casinos. The glitzy backdrop and high life action add to the thrill of this picture. Kevin Spacey played a strong character, despite getting in over his head with his card shark antics. Oh, and this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Lawrence Fishburne for his role as the cheated security guard. He played his role slick and savvy. Overall," 21" is a worthwhile movie to see and has a surprisingly good ending. Go see it now.

It was okay. I had plenty of slow moments and the ending was your typical Hollywood happy ending. Kate Bosworth was boring to watch, just like she was in Superman Returns.
