Such diverse possible slices of life from that fateful day of infamy. 11 filmakers given 9 mins. & 1 frame to work with I believe was the guidelines for this film... A very potent mix... The one by Alejandro Gonzalez Innarritu was particularly HEAVY. Black screen... just with sound. I'd rate it 7.5 on here if I could : )

Bad bad bad movie. A person can enjoy watching nothing, more than watching this movie.

This is very good movie in order to understand what is 9.11 all about. Recommend to watch to all who wants to know.

I was cooerced into seeing this movie, I personally think they should have waited as long to make a movie about this subject as they did about the Titanic.

This was a good movie however... why get deppressed over the past... this was amazing but imagine what it would be like to lose a family member on 9/11 (god for bid) then watch a movie like this... I think that they could have put more of a storyline to it..

Controversial. Makes you think. Not sure whether Moore can prove all he attests to.

Certainly a contraversal movie towards the american cultur. Maybe if this was released during campaign debate period it would have a greater effect.

It was a real eye-opener, chilling and disturbing but very real. It may be only one man's opinion but he makes a good point and has a lot of footage to back him up.

Comment #6 -- monsieur "agn, " -- clearly ain't too bright at reading rhetorical arguments. I can only think this was a joke entry. None of the arguments were "America, you deserved this." Some of the arguments were: "Yes, 9/11 happened, but look -- such tragedy has been happening elsewhere for such a long time. Please don't ignore us." There was also a sense of America joining the reality of the global village through these atrocities. If anything, that was the overall subtext I took from the film: the interconnectedness and flux of the global cultural fragment. In some ways, this film shocked me more than the aftermath of 9/11 itself. America isn't a solid untouchable divine fortress and shouldn't be so conceited as to pretend to be. America's just another country/culture trying to defend its actions in the name of its own values (be they secular or religious) Personally, I liked Sean Penn's and the Mexican's film the best.

Je trouve ça minable et hypocrite que des gens puissent penser comme ça sur les malheurs d'autrui.

The movie needs no comments. The mexican part was very annoying and the japanese part spoiled the end by its ugliness.

Anybody who was disappointed by this movie has no soul. It is an incredible compilation of 11 different view points of that terrible day from 11 different cultures. Truly touching and eye-opening.

"alors que ça se voulait une tribune au 11.09.01 à NEW YORK"? "je m'attendais a une revu mondiale sur le 11 sept"? Where do you get your information? No where did it suggest that the movie would contain that stuff... This movie is exactly what it set out to be : 11 directors working independently on 11 short films with : COMPLETE ARTISTIC FREEDOM This movie is amazing and you shouldn't miss it... And when you don't like one of the short films, you can wait 11 minutes and the following one will be totally different I promiss!! That's what so great about this film: the fact that each of the short films attacks the subject from a totally unexpected angle, and brings new energy to the film... If you like ART in general, you will love this movie... Don't miss it out! "j'ai détesté le côté anti-américain" NOTE : This is NOT an anti-american movie!!! In fact most of the frustration contained in the directors' visions comes from their love and passion for the US and NY. Quote from youssef chahine: "(...) peut-on en vouloir à l'amoureux des USA de se sentir cocufié...d'être en colère? ".

Amazing how nasty the leftists can be. To title this movie September 11 and then go on to discuss often unrelated tragedies that went on in other countries is to subtly imply "America you deserve what you got". No small wonder this movie was banned in the United States. The stories aren't even well done, on top of this. Yet another group of filmmakers who think it's hip to bash the US, eventhough, ironically, it is the nation that will make them wealthy and famous should they ever succeed at their medium. Tasteless nonsense. Don't waste you time if you're well-read in politics.

I seen this movie on the premier day. This movie was good because it didn't only talk about september 11, 01 tragedy but other tragedies that happened on september 11. It was views of 11 different authors some were better than others there was also a bit of humor. Which was needed with such a serious subject..

11 different situations in the movie. Some, with no clear relation to September 11. Three were good. 5 were OK. Three were really bad..
