It was a fun movies to see with a girlfriend. There could have been more to the movie but it doesn't seem to translate well from TV. Besides, an [...] sitting in the same row ruined it with his non-stop talking [...]

I never saw the show when it was on TV. I only happen to buy two previously viewed tapes and found to my utter amazement (due to it being uber-popular) that it was badly written, predictable as well containing language of unbearable crassness. So I watched the movie expecting to be disappointed. BUT I was NOT! I found depth and feeling where there was only shallowness and superficiality on the TV show. I was happily surprised. BRAVO!

I'd say I was disappointed if I actually expected more. I think the other reviewers who are raving about the movie watched one different than I. I enjoyed the episodes, watched them all twice in fact, but aforehand, I really can't imagine what could've been done to pull off something worthwhile. TV into movies generally doesn't go well. Superficial ideologies are rampant. Carrie is a child, yet so many women want to identify with her. Samantha's character is ultra funny, but everything else is predictable. It would be good if some real-life depth was added, but I suppose S & C's massive audience would be compromised in turn. I should've waited for it to come out on DVD.

Charlotte's bell sound are Evey unrealistic! I did not like the fact that the all movie was based on Carrie, Miranda had problems but not even one of the girls was interested to hear. It was only Carrie. We saw a lot lily but not bradie, I don't know why. I did not like the theme: love. It is addres in a very superficial way. The episode are far more interested. They try it to make it too trendy with the hip hop music and bling in the letters. Thy shouldn't have change the original music! I did not see the interest of Carrie having a Personal assistant, in 10 years she never got one! Why have one now? We are constantly bombarded with all the trends, it is too much! It is like an atomic bomb! A bit too long, but it does not disturb. Overall a little disappointing because it is supposed to be the final episode and it is bad compared to the over all episodes. Like how the introduction was done.

I only watched a few episodes before watching the movie. You don't have to have seen many of them (or any of them for that matter) to enjoy the movie! It is amazing to see how much work was actually put into making the movie, and that work did not go unnoticed! If for nothing else, the girls' clothes and shoes make it worth the admission price.

Worth the wait!!! Absolutely worth the wait... from waiting for the movie to start watching clusters of close weither be girl or gay friends in clusters of 2 to 12 dressed up in their individual fashions finery as if walking down our own in-theatre red runway to their seats, wives with husbands (who felt so out of their element) The movie was excellent as if only a few months had passed since the last episode. The cheers, The Laughs, The disagreements against or along with the character, The tears, The rage,... was felt by all. So when is # II coming out?

This movie was, hands-down, the best movie of the year. I'm probably exaggerating, but it was really amazing. I just hope there is a sequel.

I loved the movie! I only saw 1 or 2 episodes on TV and really didn't know the history of the characters but the movie did a great job on filling the audience in right away. It is well written, great acting and just lots of fun to watch. Cried and laughed through it all. A must see movie even if you're not a Sex in the City fan.

Although amusing in some ways, the film comes off as a form of anti-feminist propaganda masquerading as feminine emancipation. The logic of the movie is this: "You are a smart, independent woman who claims your desire. And that desire is: utterly submit to the masculine twin gods of haute couture and capriciousness." The film also steadfastly refuses to explore the problems it sets up with the three couples, instead opting for a kind of Hills-like "blackout" of immaturity. As a result, the actors lose the opportunity to have some interesting, adult scenes (especially Miranda and Steve) in favour of product porn. But if living in North America does not provide enough examples of the above for you, then definitely see this movie.

I think this movie is brilliant. I've been a fan since the start, and after hearing all the negative press I was a bit worried. In my opinion, it had everything. Starting with the amazing clothes, the funny/witty dialogue, the realistic situations that were presented, it just blew my mind. Yes it was long, but for real fans it wasn't long enough. People should really watch the episodes on dvd, the full ones.

This movie was just plain stupid. Just like the Simpsons and the Simpsons Movie. This is based on the show you can watch on T. V. for free. Go buy yourself a ticket to Get Smart or Kit Kittredge instead.

Comfortable as an old shoe -- it was good to seen them all again -- 4 years faded away and we were back with our 'friends'. I can't call it a masterpiece... but it is really worth going to see... I'll buy it as soon as it is available.

I loved every season, and the movie did not disappoint. It was great for those who watched every tv episode and still a great story for those who didn't have the background. It's like a really long episode - isn't that what we always wanted? Still leaves room for a future too. Amazing. Saw it twice.

I've only seen a couple tv episodes, so I don't think you HAVE to have seen every single episode to follow the movie. The movie itself was excellent! I loved every minute of it... and Carrie's dress... I want one!

I really enjoyed the movie, but some dialogue was weak. There were a few points in the movie that seemed tacked on, or awkward. It was a bit forced I guess. Nevertheless, I did enjoy it. The scene with Miranda and Steve on the bridge made me cry.

What a pathetic movie. Was it a horror? Because if it was, it should get a 10. First horror I've been to where the audience's obvious enjoyment of the lame, shallow, totally behind-the-times sexual commentary, and unapologetic classist crap terrified the heck out of me and made me want to flee the theater halfway through.

Pathetic desperate Carrie takes him back... again and gets dumped... again... but of course in the end she's going to do it again for the zillionth time. Isn't this show supposed to be about strong, modern independent women? Grow some brains.
