Exactly what the movie is... a great musical with great actors, produced by Tom Hanks and his wife. During the movie watch for the cameos of the REAL ABBA members, and don't forget to check out the new SING A LONG version that is released this Labour Day Long Weekend... GREAT MOVIE GO SEE IT!!!

Great storyline and scenery. Absolutely irresistible with the magic music from ABBA. It was a joy to see smiles on everyone's faces as they exited the theatre, laughing and singing snippets of the songs. We have enough of a diet heavy with violence, cruelty, realism up close with special effects... this was pure escapism. What a welcome change and relief. I've seen it once with my girlfriend, once with my husband and my grandaughter wants to go with me and see it again. That'll be twice for her and three times for me and I'll gladly go again if someone else wants to see it. At last, a movie for all ages... she's 17 and I'm 67!

Went to see it with my 22 year old daughter and we both laughed our way through the show. We went right from the theater to buy the CD to download on our I pods. One of the great things about this movie was the fact that all the actors and actresses did their own singing. It was a fabulous and touching movie that left you feeling cheery. Looking forward to owning a copy of the DVD to enjoy over and over again.

The best "feel good" flick I have seen in a very long time. It made me want to be there, be involved... singing, dancing, jumping in the water!

I totally enjoyed this movie. It was funny, light-hearted without being thick with drama. Great catchy tunes. What a nice change from all the gore and heavy dramatic films that flood the theatres. I loved it! Definitely one to see!

I absolutely LOVED it!!! This movie is so uplifting and of course being the extreme ABBA fan that I am, it catapulted me back into my past where that was all I listened to. We need more movies like this to enjoy.

I thought that I would be bored, but was pleasantly surprised. It was really good. I am now humming all of the ABBA songs and driving my family nuts. Well worth going to see.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the stage show and I went in with very high expectations after reading the majority of reviews. In the end, I liked the movie and thought it was well done.

You just have to go in knowing that this is juste light-hearted, silly fun movie, and not a spectacular musical (like chicago or sweeney todd etc) I LOVED the music, the scenery is beautiful. Pierce Brosnan cant sing at all. But even that was kinda entertaining. I saw it in theatres twice. Just like the play but better because of the scenery.

Great, believable actors, good plotline, good script, and gorgeous setting. This is a musical however, and they do squeeze every possible song they can into it, so there isn't much a of a break between the singing parts. It is very much a "girlie" movie, and guys aren't likely to get much out of it unless they're ABBA fans. DEFINITELY worth seeing on the big screen. You can't reproduce the dancing scenes on a little TV at home. Just not the same.

Some things should simply remain untouched- one of them is the legendary music of ABBA. The notion of of Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan singing ABBA tunes is horrific and surreal. You have to see it to believe it -whoever convinced these two otherwise great actors that they can sing could probably also convince me that I could flap my arms in the air and fly. If thats not bad enough how about the premise of the movie- Daughter seeks to find her real father to marry her off only to discover it is one of three men- free spirited mom (Meryl Streep)had several romps with different men one summer about twenty years ago and just lost track- now theres great family viewing. I looked for one redeeming quality and I found it- the popcorn was good - I suggest you get a bag as well- you might need something to upchuck in... with love- Chuck in Montreal.

The movie made me laugh and it made me cry. I haven't left a movie with such a "feel good" feeling in a long time. The emotions told through songs by ABBA were great. The similarity in emotions protrayed by the young friends and their older counterparts was hilarious. Its nice to see that you're never too old to have fun and remembering younger days doesn't have to drip with syruppy sadness over lost youth. Life is to be lived, what a great message in a movie!

Lots of fun, great music. Brings back some memories of the 70s. ABBA was definitely in a league of there own.
