This was a great movie to watch with my gf... it's kinda of My Free Willy... but with a dolphin and with an original twist that the dolphin becomes amputated... and it actually makes you think about life and realize that we are lucky of being healthy... very good family movie.

Heartwarming, touching, well acted, brought us to go see Winter in his habitat in Clearwater as we just spent a week in florida on vacation and the people working there were extremely courteous and appreciative of our visit.

Watched this movie with my two young boys, ages 5 & 7. They enjoyed the story line, were caught up in the path of the dolphin. I enjoyed the family friendliness, there were no scary parts or inappropriate language. There was a great message about persevering and never giving up despite the worst imaginable circumstances. We loved it!

I just love, love, loved it. Great for the whole family.

You have to bear in mind that this is inspired by a true story. The poor dolphine (Winter) lost its tail and lived despite everything and the thought that it changed many peoples lives now that is indeed phenomenal.

It's a very very very corny movie... only go if you have children in elementary school. Overall, avoid this movie, sometimes I just wanted to turn it was so corny.

This movie was not corny but really sweet. It's about how all of us can be damaged in someway but we can also overcome. There was a real sense of togetherness in this film. I was very moved. The acting was fantastic. It's a movie for all ages. Go see it.

It is a piece of beauty. I cried a lot watching the dolphin Winter struggle with her disability and her persistance in fighting her problems and not giving in. That was inspirational.

I thought this was an amazing movie but there were times were it was a little sad. I think it is a great movie for all ages young and old. If you are heading to the movies you should watch Dolphin Tale.

I love how it has so much love and compassion and that even a small buy can change the lives of everybody around him.

This is proof of how bad the film industry has become.

I absolutely loved it. I read up on it long before I saw it so I had a general idea of what would happen but I was still very surprised. Dolphins are great and this movie put so much heart and soul into it. It was so easy to get absorbed in that I wasn't thinking about anything else until it ended. I would definitely recommend seeing it over again. I loved Winter's performance and how the film showed the general progression from being in distress to being completely fine. I did however notice some parts (ie the opening sequence showing all the dolphins and Winter's damaged tail) that were obviously CGI. The movie was made after these events happened so I knew that the tail was CGI. Someday I will go there and see Winter myself, as I suggest we all do. All around incredible movie. Well worth it. 3D was good too.

I always love a good true story based movie and this one doesn't disappoint. I took my kids but enjoyed the movie myself. It was very touching and stayed at a pace to keep the attention of all the kids I took.

I don't like animal movies but loved this one. Adults will enjoy this movie even more than kids. For peopole who love true stories or real experiences this movie is awesome.

Family movie. Shows how things can work out even if life deals you a hard blow and it is not fair. Having people who care can make a difference and that by being there for someone helps. Also, teaches children importance of taking care of animals.

A truly inspiring story, even if you don't have a handicap yourself. It is so nice to see a [movie] that shares the goodness that people have and share - complete with a happy ending. It was enjoyed by both myself and my daughter. I encourage everyone to see it.

I took my 5 children ranging in age from 6-14, it was nice to finally have a movie with content we could all safely view and enjoy! This is a heart warming, inspirational and emotional film (bring some tissue) To top it off it has several worthwhile messages it delivers to its audience of all ages. An easy and enjoyable film to share with my children... or anyone for that matter and one that my children want to purchase when it's out in DVD to watch again! Also nice that the kids can follow up on "winters" progress story on the internet when they get home and are excited to do it.

If you like animals and you like people, this is a movie you must see. Do not expect a standard "injured dolphin gets a new fin" movie. The writers have tackled many subjects in the film with the perfect amount of emotion and charm all linked together with the theme that the strength and innocence of children can be limitless.

This movie was amazing!! The only bad thing about it was that I wish it was longer! It was amazingly real and the dolphins are the cutest!

Great cast. Beautiful story. I'd forgotten how smart and sociable dolphins are, just like people. This movie felt great, glad I listened to Mom and saw it.

Wonderful film. How an 11 year old can change the faith of surrounding adults and save a beautiful animal. I saw it in 2D because I realy don't understand what 3D would bring to this movie other than to charge more.

This is a heartwarming story of the strong bonding between humans and animal life and what can be achieved when we, as humans, understand wildlife more and show a caring nature toward their care. This is a wonderful story and I strongly recommend it for young and older alike. I SIMPLY LOVED IT.

Left halfway threw, it stunk and, you rip people off with the dumb 3d as you call it, what a rip off, never again.
| 2/10 | the-wares@ - 8 reviews 10.7.2011 - age: 50+ |
Well made family movie. Great positive messages not just about the animal, but also that the mother saw the child engage something and directed accordingly. The 3D aspect has no impact. Save your dollars and see 2D.
| 8/10 | leegielen@ - 17 reviews 10.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
An inspiring movie that's nice to watch. I'm a bit surprised though at the 8+ rating given that the day I watched it, my son and I were the only people in the theatre...
