Like all time-travel movies, this one is a bit hard to understand at times. Still, I enjoyed it, but I would have liked some more information to enjoy it a bit more.

I don't know why I at first expected this to be a flop but I'm glad to say it wasn't. I'd say this is one of the best Bruce Willis films. 8.5/10.

Not bad. Kinds of slows down near the end. Parts of the story are glossed over and if you think about them too much, you might enjoy the movie less. Has two fantastic ideas but like the old sci-fi writers used to stay, you're better to stick with one, and maybe this movie should have followed that advice.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is keeping busy with his growing film credit portfolio. With this movie, it only adds to his already impressive film and acting career. Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt work well to round out a good cast for a good sci-fi suspense drama. Well worth seeing.

Idiotic really. Has the standard plot twists of time travel movies which I may have found interesting when I was in my teens but one does eventually grow up. (Apparently not the makers of this movie. However.) The characters are uniformly one-dimensional and un-interesting. Where is the pizzazz? Or at least a worthy thought or two? How about the scenes where Bruce Willis walks around with everybody shooting at him and missing. This is OK in a movie like 'Taken' which is almost intentionally self mocking. But here let's call it what it is - abysmally stupid all around.

Couldn't get into this movie, however it was entertaining and the actors did great in their roles.

Wow... must have been the day I went to see this one. At first, I thought I must be slow in catching on to what was going on. Then trying to hear what everyone was whispering through the whole movie never helped either. Man... NEXT!

This is a very strange sci-fi flic but if you like bizarro and way out in left field somewhere, this is up your alley. I found it too long and the story too convoluted and flawed for my tastes.

A well-acted fairly unique piece of mobster style fiction with a futuristic twist. Gordon-Levitt does a great job of acting like Bruce Willis, and Bruce Willis does a great job of being the antagonist/protagonist type. Love the plot-line around the little kid and how he plays into the long term scheme. A predictable ending, but worth getting to it.

Usually these time travel movies are not credible. But in this one, the fast paste of the story smartly camouflages what ever would seem illogical.
| 7/10 | bebaxelsen@ - first review 11.28.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Great movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt transforms into the perfect younger Willis. Acting and storyline was excellent, though the ending was not in tune with the rest of the plot line. While along the same lines of Inception, much more enjoyable and easier to follow.

It's like, someone came up with this concept about Loopers who are time traveling hired guns. So he tells his friend, the writer, to write a script about it. Well as a concept it's entertaining enough, but not so much when it's laid out in print. Pardon the pun, but I found too many loopholes in the movie. It got to the point where I had to accept that it wasn't even trying to convince the audience of its feasibility. I'm not really complaining, but it could have tried harder to be more believable.

Good movie with some twists. Could have explained the effects of what followed the last scene. Needed about 5 minutes more.

Great movie. What made this movie different from all other time travel movies is that they didn't focused on the time travel?!? There was only one scene in the movie were they actually went through an actual time travel. Also the actors were amazing! Bruce Willis did such a stellar job, and Joseph Gorden-Levit did a awesome job of catching the style and appearances of Bruce. If you liked Inception or the Christopher box set then you'll love this movie.

The action was great but I didn't very like the end...
| 7/10 | aaronman@ - 7 reviews 11.20.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Slow and very boring. Was expecting a futuristic movie, looked more like an old cowboy movie. Main character (duality) is not believable. Plot not believable.

I am so disappointed. The storyline is very weak. Don't waste your money on this movie. They could of done a much better job!

Really enjoyed this movie; liked the cast. Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt played well together. The make up artist did a great job. Great visual effects, lots of action.

Predictable, shallow characters, should explore dystopian future more. Not as clever as director/writer thinks. Watch Inceptions again/instead.

Amazing! Joseph Gordon Levitt was absoloutely convincing as a young Willis.
| 9/10 | pam@ - 17 reviews 11.9.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Not bad concept all in all. Although Joseph was suppose to look like a younger version of Bruce Willis, he at most times looked more like a younger version of John Travolta instead. Mind you there was some scenes that he kinda had Bruce Wilis features and he sure did a good job being the younger version of Bruce Wilis.

Seems like the very excessive violence was the center of the plot. It was not a good movie. If it was not for the very loud gun shot sound effects, I'd be asleep.
| 5/10 | ysilan@ - 28 reviews 11.6.2012 - age: 26-35 |
This movie feels almost like 3 distinct films in one: A Scifi movie, an action film, and a sometimes-horrifying look at what it takes to be a good parent, even in a unique situation. The thing is, each of these individual parts are incredible, making for an unforgettable whole! Not Rian Johnson's best, but even his less-than-perfect movies are better than a lesser director's greatest.

The acting in this movie is just great. I loved all the characters, especially the little boy. What an amazing young actor. Direction was good too. Yes, I'm still trying to figure out the time travel thing but there was so much to enjoy in this film I might even see it again.

A really good action flick with great acting from the 3 principles. Joseph Gordon Levitt can do no wrong in my books. I loved the story and it kept me guessing for the most part. Worth checking out!

This movie had a lot more depth than I expected, at times it's slow but that's only because the story is complex. Pleasantly surprised! Plus, JGL is almost unrecognizable his make-up is so well done.

A novel theme and good acting too. Enjoy movies that make you pay attention otherwise you miss out on understanding what's happening and why. Will likely watch again when the DVD arrives.

This movie makes u think a lot. Reminds me of Inception. Great story, acting, ending. A little slow at the beginning, but makes u wonder what will happen next. Makes u look differently at subjects like time, fate abd how You are the one who controls these, here and now. I want to see it again!

The mark of a great movie is, once you leave the theater you break into debate with friends about what just happened b/c you just got mind-effed. Loved the story, loved the acting, and the special effects were top-notch. Easily the best movie I've seen in 2012 so far. High recommended. [...]

The real must-see here is J. Gordon-Levitt who does make me believe that he is the younger self of Bruce Willis' character. The facial mimics were almost always bang-on reminding us of Willis' trade signature facial smugness & sometimes cheeky nonchalant smirks. I definitely enjoyed Joseph's acting skills and will hands down agree that he is very very talented, pulling this off. Why I did not give this movie a high score is that I did not like the continuity of the time sequences. It tried to linearly push the story through but there were moments where you definitely question the "timelines" as it was not smoothly executed (in my opinion only) Overall, it is worth viewing even if only just to see how Joseph had subtlety and expertly pulled off acting like a young Bruce Willis. That is worth the price of the movie ticket.

I really enjoyed this movie. This is a sci-fi flick, and a good one. It's about the future and altering the past. I really liked the fact they don't show too much of the future. The movie is really based around the idea, and not much about the visual aspect of the idea. It mostly takes place in the present (which is the past in this movie) This movie leaves you on your seat, watching it, and wondering what the future is like. You leave the theater with a lot of "what if' in your head. The acting was good, it was not cheesy, and some scenes just fill you with emotions. I'm not going to go in the whole debate of what's what and what theory doesn't make sense; I'm leaving that part to you after you've watched the movie. It is a great movie ; just don't expect action, this movie is slow paced.

It was kind of entertaining a bit. The story connected everything nicely. Good acting but I'm not too big a fan of Bruce Willis. He's starting to look too old, must be the wine they drink when the stars go to restaurant for dinner. The time travelling was kind of stupid. Why do they send them 30 years back for some bloke to take them out with a gun. Why not send them to cave man days and let them live out there remaining days fighting off dinoseurs. I guess it would be a different movie all together. Ha ha Go see it, the sex scene is worth the price of admission.

A nearly perfect piece of sci-fi action cinema. Not only that, but one of the year's best films so far by far. It feels like Rian Johnson had some inspiration from Christopher Nolan in some ways here as well, and even throughout most of this film, I did feel like this was almost better than Inception, but it didn't quite make it there. Almost though, and as for story here, there really is never a dull moment. It definitely makes its mark as one of the best films of its kind for this decade. Not to be missed.
| 9/10 | calebchads@ - 13 reviews 10.26.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It was a tad disturbing, especially with how some stuff played out, but the whole idea of time travel was very excellent, and it was played out quite well, and it was a very strong script, I would give it a 9.6 if possible, but it's closer to 10 than 9. So there, good movie. Really pleased with the time, and the young boy will have a very good career ahead of him. Especially with only being 5-8 years old.
