    Barney's Version

There are really two parts to this movie. The first half is a comedy and the second half is a drama and the cut between both is not very subtle. Nonetheless, it succeeds in both genres which doesn't happen often. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Giamatti is brilliant and so are the supporting staff especially Rosamund Pike. It was good to see Minnie Driver and Dustin Hoffman and what about Denis Arcand as a french waiter? :) It reminded me at times of some of Woody Allen's work. Good actors, good story and very entertaining overall.
