I'm sorry! For me this movie did not match up to the hype! It is unique in the sense the same cast was used over 12 yrs (or whatever) but this alone does not make it great. I have seen so many other 'coming of age movies' that are so much better. I honestly have NO idea why it won 'best movie' at the 'Golden Globes'.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one who felt let down after all the build up for this movie. Interesting concept, but the movie just fell short for me.
I would agree with both of you. I found this movie very underwhelming. I've seen other coming of age movies where different actors play the different ages and were much more interesting and no less affective. This movie bored me to tears... :-(
