Good movie, interesting story, but definitely not rated correctly Not 14A, Rated R would be more appropriate. So don't take your 14 year old's thinking otherwise. On another note, see if you can notice certain things in the film that didn't exist way back in 1985 where the story was set! On the whole, it had likeable characters decent story, some very interesting points especially in regards to FDA, pharmaceutical, medical industries.

I was too engrossed in the film to notice period discrepancies, would love to know what you spotted. But I think that a rough neck guy with a heavy smoking and meth using habit like his would never have had such a set of perfectly formed white teeth, with no visible fillings - in the scene where he stops his car and howls in anguish, he tilts his head back and opens his mouth wide. A dentist's dream patient!
