The team behind Lone Survivor delivers another winner, this time choosing to tackle the tragic true story of the Deepwater Horizon, the biggest ecological disaster in US history in which 11 men lost their lives. Executed with the same visceral realism that defined Lone Survivor, director Peter Berg and star/producer Mark Wahlberg have crafted another stirring tribute to the lives lost. The beginning may be a little too chalk full of inside baseball for some audiences, technical talk and such, but it all goes to realism. Wahlberg's good, as are Kurt Russell and John Malkovich, and the sound and special effects are first rate. A strong effort, well worth it.
