Usually enjoy movies with Mark Ruffalo as a leading character... this film had parts that sort of dragged a bit... found myself looking at my watch. The scenes showing them playing sports or running around, did little to enhance the story. Mark did a good job of showing how bi-polar illness can manifest itself and the effects it has on those, in the family. The decisions the mother had to make, to ensure a good education for her daughters, was heart breaking. Knowing what I know now... I would have waited for the film to be on video... can fast forward through the parts that seem to drag.
