Into the Storm deserves credit for working within its limited budget to create some impressive CGI twisters and some genuinely suspenseful moments. However, it seems everything else in the movie was treated as less than an afterthought, as there is literally no storyline to speak of and very little emotional connection to any of the characters. The acting is weak but even a talented group of thespians couldn't do very much with flimsy material like this. Bottom line, if you can stand the film's quiet moments, there are mild pleasures to be had in the destruction, but don't expect too much.
