Weaker than the first, simply due to the emotional quotient of the storyline, which serves to diminish Reacher as a character. He is less hard and more vulnerable. I'm not a big Cobie Smulders fan myself. I find her attempts at playing the intense bad ass unconvincing and a little desperate. Still, I enjoyed the film and was entertained.
