    Rashômon

Thank you Cinematheque & TIFF for bringing us 29 Kurosawa films this summer. Kurosawa demonstrates how man can always put personal gain ahead of the truth, even subconsciously. Four descriptions of a single event lead one to believe man is truly self serving. Yet we are willing to believe that one good action negates all the evil ones.
