Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I don't care about the opening scene with the defiling text, nor do I care about the music score being different. Rogue One was was actually refreshing. It probably is the 1st Star Wars movie in which the audience's intelligence is not ridiculed. Rogue One is an action packed movie. It was not filled with silly jokes and stupid characters: there are no stupid droids, no cheesy characters, and no innuendos aimed at kids. The story is well developed and the ending is not ludicrous. In fact, I wish the other Star Wars movies were much more like this one. It does not feel as if it was marketed to amass the most profit at the detriment of the story and characters. The easiest way to explain this would be to compare "Batman Returns" to "The Dark Knight"... now you can compare all of the Star Wars movies made during the past 15 years to Rogue One. It does feel like a Star Wars movie. The only difference being it was not designed for kids!
