The Amazing Spider-Man

The Amazing Spiderman was excellent, one of the best Marvel movies ever made. I found it a lot better than the Avengers which was all action and little story. For all of the people complaining it was too similar to the first movie, it was a Spiderman origin story! What were you expecting? Of course there would be similarities but I thought they did a good job of changing some details to keep it different. I liked Tobey Maguire in the first movies but Garfield is even better. Emma Watson as Gwen Stacy was great as I was tired of the MJ story lines and the damsel constantly in distress. The chemistry was excellent between the two. I liked the Lizard and thought all the actors did an excellent job. I thought we would get more of a background on Peter's parents but oh well. Overall this movie was just as good as the original Spiderman. Spiderman 1 and 2 were fantastic movies and this one is right up there. Great story, actors and some great action scenes. Not quite as much humour. I still put Spiderman 2 as arguably the best Marvel movie ever made. Loved Doc Oc.
