    The Deep Blue Sea

At the time the book that served as base for this film came out, it was out of the question for its author to reveal his homosexuality even in a book. The storyline is inspired from actual events that happened in the author's life but, for evident reasons, he turned his male friends to female characters. The post war era is well recreated in the movie but the pace of the story could have been faster. It is a dark story in a dark setting, which might affect the viewer after an hour or so. Nonetheless, it is a good movie but a slow pace one.
