Let me begin by saying if you're looking for anything intelligent then you'd be best served by skipping this one. For it becomes evident after the 100th or so dead body blown to bits in the spectacular opening scene that intelligent has left the building. If however you want to see pretty much every iconic action star of the last quarter century trade terrible quips and kill lost of nameless, faceless and in a lot of cases, headless henchemen, then this is your movie. The team from part 1 are back this time seeking vengeance against a terrorist actually named Vilain (a terrifically campy Jean Claude Van Damme) responsible for the death of a teammate. It's stupid, senseless and incredibly violent. Yet how many films have Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger trading classic one liners back in forth, whilst mowing down enemy barrages? The answer is only one.
