    The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

This film suffers from what I like to call "good castitis". It's a term I developed for lazy films that think it's ok to be lazy because the good cast will overcome the lack of wit or imagination. I'll admit it isn't easy to make a comedy about magicians, I mean after the initial campy sell, where do you go from there? Steve Carell does the awkward straight man thing very well and he has a lot of help from an A list supporting cast, most notably Steve Buscemi and Jim Carrey doing his best Chris Angel impersonation. Now Carrey's irrepressible comedic energy could power the space shuttle, but he simply isn't utilized enough and as a result the film drags and just isn't that funny.
