It was very interesting to me to have some insight into modern day Tehran.'Setting the stage' for a human drama takes 'time'. The back story in the movie is the two protagonists were the 'lead' characters in a stage play ('Death of a Salesman') This is in a land riddled with censorship so taking that 'time' was the perhaps the screen writers reasoning for this juxtaposition and the slow pace. Anyway, it's the only plausible connection I could find!?! However, how this story pans out and the moral dilemma it presents is profound indeed. I'm writing this having spent days pondering its provocative content. What I concluded is: what constitutes 'sexual assault' may differ greatly country to country but within those widely varying boundaries, ones reputation as the offender and ones capacity to forgive as a victim are tantamount and thus not so dissimilar. It is why this movie, in my opinion is, (by any standard) very 'worthy'... acting, directing, writing.
