When Max Klein survives a horrific plane crash that kills so many, he wonders why he was spared. No longer able to relate to his wife and family, Max feels invincible. Another survivor of the crash, Carla, a young mother whose baby was killed in the accident, is utterly broken. The pair soon forms a bond that may heal them both.
