Sonia (Jana Raluy) is a hard-working woman desperately nursing her beloved, dangerously-ill husband, watching his condition worsen daily without the health care support he should have because their insurance company refuses to authorize treatment for which they are covered. Unable to get satisfaction via telephone, Sonia goes in person to confront the obstructive insurance company, but is met with indifference, negligence and lies at every turn, driving her to take extreme measures. Accompanied by her bewildered teenage son (Sebastián Aguirre Boëda), Sonia declares war on the insurance company refusing her rights, leading to a series of increasingly violent confrontations. A sharp, urgent tale of a distraught woman intent on protecting her family at all costs, director Rodrigo Plá's (The Zone) latest film is an engrossing combination of thriller, drama and timely socio-political commentary -- an attack, whose feelings we can all share, aimed at a worthy target.
