When an arm injury ends Curt's professional baseball career, he decides to come home. Back in Knoxville, he reunites with his life long friends, Rock, Phil, and Joe. Together, the four buds chase babes, guzzle booze, and play ball for the Wombats, dominating the Knoxville Amateur League for years.
When Curt meets Lori, a gorgeous local sportscaster, everything changes for the boys. She runs a story on the local news, turning the Wombats in to celebrities. Having decided it's their last season together, the boys make an oath to do the one thing they haven't done... win the Amateur Baseball World Series.
